Maude grew up hiking old wagon trails, riding on round-ups, spending the afternoon looking for arrowheads and other treasures on the ranch and writing creative stories.
She left for several years and then returned to spend the next 20 years running the ranch with her young son and mother. During this time, she helped her son explore the natural beauty of the southwest, participated in round-ups and instilled a strong work ethic. After her mother retired from the ranch, they moved into town. Maude currently works in the health field.
Treasures of the White Rock Ranch
Georgia, the youngest of the four siblings, grew up riding her favorite horse, "Kiss" and was always ready for the next adventure. When she left the ranch, she furthered her education and eventually obtained her Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction. She worked in the field of education for thirty years, starting out as an elementary teacher and then moving into administration. She likes to say that she has had the honor to help raise hundreds of children. She strived to instill a love of reading to her students, as well as, instilling the many life lessons learned on the ranch: strong work ethic, love of the land and animals and the importance of family. She is married to a wonderful husband who shares her love of family and life!
